Rural Rhythm Records is proud to announce the new Bluegrass single, “That Janie Baker” by Marty Raybon & Full Circle released this week to radio via the label’s Fresh Cut & Key Tracks CD and at AirplayDirect.com. The song appears on Marty’s straight-up new Bluegrass album, THE BACK FORTY, releasing in March celebrating his 40 years entertaining audiences around the world.

“My love for hard driving Bluegrass Music was fired up in the early 70’s when my Dad put in an old 8-track tape of Jimmy Martin and the Sunny Mountain Boys on. The excitement in the music seemed to leap out of the speakers. While writing ‘That Janie Baker,’ John Fountain and I were not trying to reinvent the wheel; we were trying to recreate the excitement I felt over 40 years ago. ‘That Janie Baker’ is really something else,” said Marty.

This new album comes on the heels of Marty’s two previous albums releases on the label including SOUTHERN ROOTS & BRANCHES that includes the bluegrass chart single, “Dirt Road Heartache.” The song hit #1 on both the Bluegrass Today weekly chart and the Bluegrass Today Monthly chart last year and is the #3 song on Bluegrass Today’s Top 30 of 2012. “Dirt Road Heartache” is also at #8 this month on the Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine’s Top 30 Songs chart. Marty’s HAND TO THE PLOW (Rural Rhythm Christian) debuted at #16 last year on Billboard’s Country Christian Album Chart, and hit numerous Country, Southern Gospel, Christian and Bluegrass Charts on New Music Wee kly, Christian Voice Magazine, Power Source Magazine, Cashbox Magazine, Christian Music Weekly, and many more.

Marty has certainly crossed so many genres in his 40 year career as evidenced by him leading the way with seven CGM Fan Award nominations by Christian Voice Magazine. His categories include: Favorite Soloist, Favorite Male Vocalist, Favorite Crossover Artist, Favorite Musician, Favorite Song (I’ve Seen What He Can Do), Favorite Album (HAND TO THE PLOW), and Living Legend. Fans can view the complete list of top ten nominees and CAST THEIR VOTE at Christian Voice Magazine.

“WORKING ON A BUILDING” VIDEO AIRS ON GAC’S “OUT OF THE BOX” AND IS SET TO AIR ON “POSITIVELY-GAC” THIS SUNDAY MORNING

NASHVILLE, TN – New Haven Records Ken Harding announced that the concept video clip of “Working On A Building” featuring Country superstar Trace Adkins, Marty Raybon, Jimmy Fortune (of The Statler Brothers), and Country Music Association Award-winner T. Graham Brown is aired on Great American Country’s “Out of the Box” video show and will begin airing October 21, 2102 on their “Positively GAC” Sunday morning show.

Shot by Emmy, Addy and Telly Award-winning director Stan Moore of MP Films, the concept clip features all four music legends in the studio singing the gospel standard intercut with time-lapse scenes of a church being erected in a third-world country. Harding comments, “The Working On A Building CD project not only embodies great vocal performances by some renowned country artists, but it helps raise awareness for International Cooperating Ministries, a non-profit foundation that has constructed nearly 4,000 churches, orphanages, and schools in more than 50 countries supporting more than 20,000 congregations over the past 25 years.”

Mark L Carman, the CD’s producer and ICM’s Director of Radio & TV, is thrilled by the exposure: “There were over 30,000 new online views of this video on VEVO last week alone, and we expect an exponential increase over the coming months as we partner with Salem Broadcasting, Solid Gospel Radio, and Singing News Magazine on a massive promotion to help build churches in places where just a few years ago it was illegal to own a Bible.” New Haven Records director of marketing Vince Wilcox is also optimistic: “We are honored to be partnering with AristoMedia Group to secure more broadcast and online outlets for this inspiring performance. Additionally, this project is showing up in a number of categories on the nominating ballot for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards.”

Ken Harding concludes, “We are so appreciative to everyone who has already given ‘Working On A Building’ a look and a listen. It’s a contagious performance by legendary artists supporting a terrific cause. Artists, managers, and labels have caught the vision of what can happen when everyone rolls up their sleeves to ‘be the difference.’”

Reviews:

Marty Raybon has produced a remarkable list of career accomplishments including 13 Number 1 singles, CMA, ACM and Grammy Awards and collectively have sold well into the millions. Marty s signature country soulful vocals with Shenandoah were developed many years ago when he performed Bluegrass and Gospel music with his family.

Southern Roots & Branches will take you on a fun musical journey from Marty Raybons storied past to the present as a popular headliner. The album contains two new original songs Big Pain and the new barn burner single Dirt Road Heartache has received rave reviews. Marty Raybon on his game and at his best said Terry Herd (Bluegrass Today & Bluegrass Radio Network).

Other songs one the album include classic Bluegrass songs; Down The Road , Rocky Road Blues , Home Run Man . White House Blues , Prayer Bells Of Heaven and acoustic versions of Shenandoah hits like Next To You, Next To Me , Ghost In This House and fan favorite Beulah Land .

Produced by Marty Raybon, Southern Roots & Branches will surely delight Bluegrass , Classic Country and Shenandoah fans with this 12 song collection of favorites and new hits !
